Nashville, Tenn. May 6, 2009… iShine’s teen pop duo Jonnie & Brookie were recently announced as Radio Disney’s “Next Big Thing” (N.B.T.). The online and text message contest raked in nearly nine million votes on RadioDisney.com and via texts.
“We are so unbelievably blessed with winning this contest,” says the tween duo. “We want to thank everyone that voted.“
Jonnie and Brookie are currently appearing on iShine KNECT airing on TBN every Saturday at 10:30 CST as well as in the upcoming iShine Live concert also on TBN. Their music will also appear in upcoming iShine projects including iShine Next, Up and Coming Stars With A Message. The record will feature songs performed by new artists on iShine KNECT. Joining Jonnie and Brookie on the record will be Logan Charles, Kylie Jean, Kelsey Muse, Josiah Rea and Cooper and Gatlin.
Radio Disney’s N.B.T., a recurring on-air and online programming feature, puts the spotlight on young recording artists and allows their music to be heard on a national level. Since its November debut, Radio Disney’s N.B.T. introduced 11 unsigned acts and invited its kid and family audience to look, listen and vote for their favorite new artist online or via text.
